Trump International Las Vegas

Hey, Reis Photography followers!  As most of you know, I was traveling for the latter part of October.  One of the hotels I stayed at during my travels was the Trump International Las Vegas.  I decided to make a little blog reviewing this amazing resort.

Upon Check-in, I was greeted by a friendly front desk employee.  We got to some friendly chit chat while she was looking up my reservation, and saw that I was from Hawaii.  Surprisingly, so was she!  Okay, so maybe it wasn't that much of a surprise.  After all, isn't everyone in Vegas from Hawaii? ;)  I immediately got a room upgrade which was awesome.

Once I got to my room, I immediately took my camera out, and got to work.  Here are some photos of the room I stayed in on the 41st floor.

The most favorite part of the room was probably the bathroom.  It definitely left me feeling like, "One day I'm going to have a bathroom just like this" feeling.  On my trip I decided to stay at several hotels to try them out and see which ones I wanted to photograph and blog about.  Since I was only at this hotel for a night, once I checked in I decided I wouldn't leave my room until check-out the following day so that I could marinate in all the luxury and comfort this room had to offer.
It was nice because I had an early photo shoot that morning (which lasted several hours) before check-in, so I was exhausted.  This hotel does not have a casino, and is really more of a place to just get away from the chaos of the strip and relax.  So I did just that.

I'm all about budget traveling!  So I encourage all of you that might be planning a first or next trip to Las Vegas, to do your homework.  Check sites like Priceline and Hotels.com, because you can definitely stay in an amazing hotel like this, for a great price.  You sure don't need to be famous to stay at this resort, but the Trump Internaional Las Vegas will definitely make you feel like you are.

Welcoming Baby Zyanah

My friend since kindergarten, Tasha, gave birth two weeks ago to baby Zyanah.  She came in at 8.15lbs and 20in.  Today I stopped by to visit and try out my new camera.  Here are a few pictures of Zyanah and her big brother, Xadus:

Waterfront at Pu'uloa

I have just completed my first week of Project 365.  Basically I have set out to take one photo a day for a year.  It's definitely a challenge because some days I feel like, "What am I going to take a picture of?"  But the best part is that it keeps me motivated and allows me to keep the creativity flowing even when I don't have any shoots scheduled.  This is not the photo that was chosen for my album, but I really liked it and wanted to post it for everyone to enjoy and maybe consider doing your own Project 365.

Happy Easter!

I will be traveling from 4/1-4/9.  I took this picture in February when I visited Seattle for a couple days.  Luckily I will have more time to spend in the city and have even booked a portrait session this Sunday.  This will be the first time I am shooting a couple and their pet, which happens to be a bunny.  I LOVE bunnies!  I can't wait.
