K&F | Family Portraits

Back in August (I know, I'm very late on this), I did some family portraits for one of my friends, Jessica, and her family at Lanikai Beach.  Jessica, her husband and their son were visiting from Las Vegas.  Here are some photos from that session.

Trump International Las Vegas

Hey, Reis Photography followers!  As most of you know, I was traveling for the latter part of October.  One of the hotels I stayed at during my travels was the Trump International Las Vegas.  I decided to make a little blog reviewing this amazing resort.

Upon Check-in, I was greeted by a friendly front desk employee.  We got to some friendly chit chat while she was looking up my reservation, and saw that I was from Hawaii.  Surprisingly, so was she!  Okay, so maybe it wasn't that much of a surprise.  After all, isn't everyone in Vegas from Hawaii? ;)  I immediately got a room upgrade which was awesome.  

Once I got to my room, I immediately took my camera out, and got to work.  Here are some photos of the room I stayed in on the 41st floor.  

The most favorite part of the room was probably the bathroom.  It definitely left me feeling like, "One day I'm going to have a bathroom just like this" feeling.  On my trip I decided to stay at several hotels to try them out and see which ones I wanted to photograph and blog about.  Since I was only at this hotel for a night, once I checked in I decided I wouldn't leave my room until check-out the following day so that I could marinate in all the luxury and comfort this room had to offer.  

It was nice because I had an early photo shoot that morning (which lasted several hours) before check-in, so I was exhausted.  This hotel does not have a casino, and is really more of a place to just get away from the chaos of the strip and relax.  So I did just that.      

I'm all about budget traveling!  So I encourage all of you that might be planning a first or next trip to Las Vegas, to do your homework.  Check sites like Priceline and Hotels.com, because you can definitely stay in an amazing hotel like this, for a great price.  You sure don't need to be famous to stay at this resort, but the Trump Internaional Las Vegas will definitely make you feel like you are.

J&S | Wedding

Earlier this year, an acquaintance from high school had contacted me, inquiring about doing photos for her bestfriend's wedding.  I didn't know Ashley too well from high school, but I had seen her around and we had mutual friends.  So I was very flattered and appreciative that she had thought to ask me, especially since I work mainly on referrals.  The bride and groom were going to be coming in for a destination wedding, from California.  How fun!  Since I had to work with two different locations in a short amount of time, I decided to contract a second photographer to help me out.  He focused mainly on the groom and his groomsmen getting ready, while I focused mainly on Jackie and maid of honor, Ashley.  Their hotel had an amazing view of Waikiki beach.  After getting ready we headed out to Hawaii Kai, as they had rented a beach house for the ceremony.  The private beach was gorgeous as was the home.  I was so honored to have been able to be apart of their special day in this way.  Their intimate beach ceremony was absolutely beautiful.  Here are some photos from their September wedding.  More can be seen on FACEBOOK.

Jackson | Child Portraits
